Hello! I’m Rob and I undertake handyman work in Chesterfield and the surrounding area.

I generally undertake DIY type jobs that are too small to get a specialist trade to undertake, but at the same time have the added benefit of being able to provide a range of different services on the same day. For example, a typical day for me could involve putting up some shelves and changing some door handles followed by cutting some branches from a tree and then repairing a fence. These tasks may be at the same property, or several, but saving up a list of several jobs for me to undertake at the same time is recommended as this presents better value for money for customers than calling me out for individual jobs.

I am fully insured and do all work myself.

Current Prices (as of 6 April 2025)

As the majority of the work I undertake are small jobs I charge my work by the hour as below:

• First hour – £55 (or up to 30 minutes – £40)
• Subsequent hours – £35

The time I charge for starts when I arrive at your house and ends when I leave and includes time unloading and loading tools and materials. Taking lunch and any other breaks are excluded from the time charged. I will provide you with a clear invoice at the end of the job detailing the hours worked. I am happy to fit in very small jobs, but please note that my minimum charge is £40 as detailed above.

Where I have had to source materials, these are charged at cost.

Work Undertaken

Send me a list of your jobs and I’ll let you know which ones I can do. Please note that work I can do on electrics is limited and I cannot work on gas. I generally don’t do decorating (unless it relates to another job such as repairing a wall) or repeat garden maintenance (such as grass cutting) but I’m happy to do some occasionally amongst other jobs in a day.
